Spirit of the Sound Sound Journey offers an immersive soundscape experience which allows participants to be enveloped by resonant sound waves guiding them into a state of deep relaxation, inner calm, and heightened awareness. It is a unique practice that utilizes sound frequencies to help clear mental clutter and reduce physical tension. The vibrations help shift your brainwaves into a relaxed alpha state, promoting muscle relazation, stress reduction, better sleep, and creativity.

The relaxing soundscape rooted in ancient traditions with Tibetan bowls, crystal singing bowls, gongs, drums, harps, and chimes helps participants relax and journey inward.

We understand that facilitating a sound journey meditation can be deeply personal thus requiring respect and sensitivity for the diverse backgrounds, experiences, and needs of our participants. SOTS Sound Journey creates a safe space honoring each participants journey – A journey worth taking!


Historical Background


The roots of sound meditation stretch back to ancient times, with practices observed in various cultures, including Tibetan, Ancient Egyptians, and Aboriginal communities. These ancient practices used a sound bath to induce trance, spiritual healing, and deep meditation. 

Over time, these traditional methods have evolved, integrating with contemporary wellness practices to form what we now recognize as a modern sound journey meditation or as some call it, a sound bath. This evolution marks a blend of historical reverence and modern scientific understanding, creating a practice deeply rooted in tradition and very much relevant in today’s fast-paced world. 

The core of sound meditation lies in its ability to harness the intrinsic power of sound and the vibrations, guiding participants toward more profound levels of consciousness and relaxation.


How It Works


The sound waves help relax muscles, reduce anxiety, and improve sleep quality. When you listen to soothing sounds, you enter a state of relaxation called alpha brain wave activity. Alpha waves are associated with deep concentration and creativity. This makes them ideal for creative endeavors, including writing and painting. Beta waves are minimized during this state, which means you become less aware of external stimuli. You may feel relaxed, focused, and even sleepy.

Wellness experts describe it as a meditative experience where you’re surrounded by soothing sounds and you feel safe and relaxed. Most people feel refreshed after a sound meditation journey as their worries are released, their emotions are regulated and their mind feels calm.

Tibetan singing bowls, chimes, gongs, crystal singing bowls, bells, tongue drums, cymbals, and wave drums are just some of the instruments Spirit of the Sword uses. The instruments are played to create a complex and mesmerizing soundscape and an immersive sound experience.

We take your well-being very seriously!

There are many different theories circulating about how a sound meditation may or may not impact certain medical conditions.

A sound meditation involves many sounds, frequencies, and vibrations. At no time will any of the instruments be in contact with your body or played in a loud, irresponsible manner.

If anyone is ever unsure if a sound meditation is suitable for their medical condition, including pregnancy, they should always ask their doctor prior to attending

Join SOTS Sound Journey as we take you on an inner journey with sound using gongs, singing bowls, chimes, and more. These instruments will guide on a journey of self-discovery and inner exploration. Allow the power of the sound to bathe you and reverberate through your body, awaken your senses, help restore balance, relieve stress, and create a soundscape that is both soothing and uplifting. This sound experience is personal to you and affords you an opportunity to pause, reflect, and nurture your well-being.


Make Yourself Comfortable


Our body temperature drops when we enter a lucid dreaming state. To enjoy the experience fully, we recommend bringing a yoga mat, pillow, and a blanket or anything you need to make yourself comfortable. Seating will be available for those not using the floor to lie on.

Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before start time so you can relax, get settled, and be considerate of the others taking the journey.

Cell phones and watches must be turned off or silenced so as not to bother the other participants.

You may leave the room to use the restrooms but please do so as quietly as possible so others are not disturbed. The same holds true when you return to the room. If you have a tendency to snore, we ask that you please turn on your side if you are using a blanket or yoga mat to lie on the floor.
